Students of all ages are experiencing difficulties obtaining a solid, quality education. Students attempt to memorize exam material as a form of studying, not fully understanding the information memorized. Have you ever “crammed” or memorized all you could before a test? You probably passed the test, but if you were to take the same test a week or a month later, how would do? Memorizing material is short term. It does not ensure the students full comprehension towards any given material.

Our philosophy at #1 Advancing Education is to reverse this effect and to give students the tools needed to understand and apply what it is they learn. Students understand how to overcome barriers in learning, obtaining the ability to excel in school and life.

• Think they got it when they didn’t
• Resist learning new things

Students with strong learning skills:

• Have a complete understanding of what they are learning
• Are fully able to rapidly and correctly apply all of the actions which are called for in their studies
• Can use good judgment when necessary

Reading and Phonics Repair:

Phonics is the sounds of each letter, sounds and letters together, meaning of words, how to use the words to express or communicate to others… in essence, the fundamental structure of the English language. It’s how the English language works! Our Phonics Reading Repair Program teaches the student how to read with comprehension from Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade language skills. Prior to 4th grade reading, a student is LEARNING to read, when in 4th grade and above, the student is READING to learn. The result of our program is a student reading at a higher-grade level, with an enriched vocabulary and superior comprehension skill.
